I would say 99% of our bucks haven't shed yet. All the bucks on camera have full racks but my cousin did see one buck one night that had shed out.
From what I've been seeing and catching on the cams I'd say 0(saw 1 and had 1 on cam that were dropping between Xmas and New Years and everything since is bald), but then again I'm sure there are a couple racks still running around somewhere near here as I know of one fork that was still holding near Presque Isle, WI 2weeks ago.
I would say 60% have shed at the cabin in North Central Wisco. I'm taking the kids up there again in a couple hours and checking cams. Should have a good idea then.
I'd say about half of the bucks have shed around these parts. Gonna go out and look Wednesday after I get out of class
In central, IL.....I found zero sheds in 8 hours of hunting, and all bucks still had racks....saw one half rack, but that was in early dec, when we had a few weeks of winter....been spring here for almost a month!
At most 5% still packing, havent seen a buck in three weeks with antlers.. all kinds of small fresh shed were on the ground in Mid January. I would have found more if not for the hvy snows.. they are burried now. Our deer have always seemed to shed much earlier than most of you guys in the mid west and east...
Just got back from the cabin and check cameras......wow. I would say only 15% are still packing. Had both the kids, so I couldn't walk too far. Pray it doesn't snow before I get a chance to walk!
I'll pray for you but it will be for white stuff !! Things are still slow here but I found two very freshies today. The blood was still dripping off the pedicule on the smaller shed I found this morning before work. He must of just dropped it before I got there. I could see deer crossing the road as I was coming up on the spot. I actually watched the blood drip off it and it was below freezing. you can see where it dripped in the snow if you look close. Tim
I say about 90% here in nebraska still have them. We just got a foot of snow so might be difficult to get out now.
I was out all morning on sunday and did'nt find any. The wheather was perfect, warm, sunny, and only a few patches of snow.
its February 16th and I'd say 95% of the bucks here are still holding tight. Last year at this time I had found 7. Real mild winter..
I would have to say that 95%+ here are still holding on to theirs. Likely be a week before I get to go back and check the cams to see if that has changed.
