Hoyt Spyder 30" with a QAD hdx rest, blazer vanes I shoot with odd vane facing up and noticed it was leaving marks on my fetching like it is coming in contact with the top arm that holds your arrows from falling out. Do you think my knocking point is off or rest could be off. Or should I just start shooting with my odd vane in a different position. I'm not getting any kick to my arrow from what I can see while shooting
Turn your nock just a tad, and see if you still get contact. Put some of your wife's lipstick on the edge of the vanes to show immediate if the vane is still making contact. All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure - Mark Twain
Some other stuff to look at while you're tinkering: Take a look, the center of your arrow should be in line with the Berger hole (where your rest bolts to the riser). If you have a square, check that your arrow is square with the string. It should be square with a QAD rest. All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure - Mark Twain
QAD has 2 different launchers for that rest, you might need the other one... Also it could be your nock height is off so make sure that's square or you could have an issue with cam timing... All those things can cause that problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
well I went home and tried turning the nock a little bit but noticed that i can turn my nock just by trying to tighten my tip (bloodsport arrows have a metal insert/outsert on the back for there lighted nock system). checked to make sure it was square and it was. Went to the 3d range yesterday and shot odd vane down and things seemed to be just fine. Think i am just going to do this until i go to the proshop to see if they can figure it out.
