I am right handed, and always done things right handed. My odd issue is that I cant close my left eye only my right. So I have some issues trying to shoot my bow. My question is should I switch to a left handed bow? Do they even make such a thing? Please help!

Yep, I am right - handed, but have always shot bows left - handed. I am strongly left eye dominant. ..it works for me.

I'm mostly right-handed 'cept for shooting bows and guns. My left-eye is dominate so why fight it? :)

Why do you need to close one eye? I shoot with both eyes open. There's a movie called Thunderbirds with Nic Cage where they fixed his eye dominance problem but I don't think it would be very practical, lol.

Start off by checking your eye dominance. If you are left eye dominant change to shooting left handed. It's much easier and better to just change hands than try to train your eye.

If you are right hand/right eye, just shoot with both eyes open. It takes a little getting use to but, of you look at all the competition shooters (rifles, bows, shotguns and hand guns) they most all shoot both eyes open.

Eye Dominance should determain which hand you shoot with not the other way around. If you are left eye dominant I would recommend a left handed bow.

We went round and round with my wife trying to fit her into a RH bow with her being left eye dominant and not able to close her left eye. Tried everything from a patch over her L eye to using a red dot sight which just added a tone of weight to her bow. In the end we should have just put her into a LH bow from the start. That's what she is shooting now just fine.

I had the same problem starting out... I'm left eye dominant and extremely right handed. It's widely encouraged to cater to the eye and shoot a left handed bow, but for me it was easier to retrain my eyes than my hands. I worked extremely hard to retrain my eyes and was successful. I shoot a right handed bow with zero issues. Same with my rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Good luck.

Shoot with both eyes open. I find that I am might more accurate with both open! When I close my left eye it toes in the right but not the same amount each time.

Both eyes open for sure. It's not hard at all. One day of practice and u will get it. It makes everything so much easier
