It has been an awful last 10 days. The weather has been anything but good. Rain, wind and lots of both. It is calling for a break tonight so I figure I might as well start with the grunt call, as up to now its just been sitting and waiting. I have had no show of deer on the cameras day or night for 8 days so hoping this break in the weather is gonna make it change tonight.

Today was awesome for me, cold snap had them moving I didn’t end up getting a shot but it was the best action I’ve had in PA this year

All about where they are...they may move less but they don't stop moving. My last two hunts have had me covered in deer.

There's no doubt there's been an October lull for me. Haven't been in the stand but one day all month. No idea what the deer activity has been like though.

Sat tonight. Had a decent cold snap come thru. After the activity I seen tonight. Pre rut has begun.

I've had a lull also but have only hunted twice. Our opening day was Saturday s0 I hunted that morning and then last night. Haven't seen any and heard one snorting behind the stand last night. Besides that no action at all.

No such thing as "the lull"

All about property location and where you have access to hunt. Both my properties are travel corridors so they don't get too active til the rut kicks up. Because of that I have only sat twice so far this season. The lull is a myth if you are in the right spot in my opinion.
