Numerous 2.5 year olds and prolly just two 3.5 year olds. I killed one of them on Oct 28! I have a pic of him posted on Trail Cam pics. I'm still trying to figure out how to attatch a pic with my post. Actually, I'm still trying to figure out several things about this site

One (Rob buck), saw him this evening. Terrible genetics on this buck, 70" or so.

Two 3.5's and one 4.5 year old. Wounded the 4.5 and passed on the two 3.5's. The 2nd 3.5 was this evening, huge body with 110 Inches of rack If he was lucky. It's funny how seasons can go. I've already saw more mature bucks this year In 8 sits then I did all of last year I believe.

    Absolutely, positively zero of both.

That's what you get when the property owner decides to have the property logged during October!

Through yesterday (11-01),I have had 30 sits and have hunted at least one sit on 22 of the possible 29 days.

While many of these are multiple sightings of the same deer, I have 45 sightings of estimated 2.5's, 16 sightings of 3.5's and 8 sightings of 4.5+. I have 71 sightings of 1 1/2 yo which is roughly half of my bucks sightings.

Keep in mind that in our country I can usually see a long ways(depends on the set up) so many of these weren't in bow range but only gun range.

While I am not sure the exact number of unique 2.5's and 3.5's, the 8 sightings of the 4.5's+ consists of 5 different deer.

Unlike some of you, October is great for me because my woods receive little pressure until now as I am the only bowhunter close to any of the properties that I hunt.

But Youth Season started Saturday. I counted 29 gun shots Saturday a.m..
Nothing wrong with that, just changes the behavior of the deer almost immediately.

Regular season starts this Saturday and it will sure enough sound like WWII.

Our rut doesn't normally kick in until somewhere around Nov 20th give or take a few days, so the next few weeks will be pretty slow compared to October.

2.5's none that I can think of and I just realized that's really odd.

3.5's one---saw him twice in 2 different hunts but never unleashed an arrow.

I also had two 4.5's, with one offering me a shot, and me then taking out a small sapling in front of him.

My best October as far as sightings go that I have ever had.

I'm way down on buck sightings this year, but that's really just because I'm way down on stand time. I've only been able to hunt 3x days this year due to unexpected circumstances. :(

With that said, I'm way up on mature buck sightings. I typically almost never see one before November from the stand. I've seen 2x that I believe are 3.5 years old, and 1x that I know is a 1.5. Those are the only 3x bucks I've seen.
