    I have a route to run at work tomorrow morning, and then I am treestand bound as soon as I get the truck back. I've got a date with a few bucks I have on camera...

    Haha, indeed.. Hope you get another Hoosier monster this year Crick. Thanks very much Steve, likewise... and yea Tony I'll keep you posted for sure.

    Opening morning was good, I had two does come through on their way back to bed but never offered a clear enough shot. Also had a fat skunk scavenge around my tree for awhile too. All in all it was just good to be up in a tree and watch the woods wake up. All it ever takes is that first deer of the year to come through to get my heart going and I quickly realize why I love bowhunting so much. Fall is here :rock:. Good luck to all this year

    Opening morning was good overall. I spotted about a dozen deer during the first two/three hours of my morning hunt. I had one doe come in behind me around 25-30 yards but she never offered a clear/good enough shot. I had no problem passing on her for the right shot. I think there will be plenty of opportunities in the days ahead. Being public land, I had another hunter walking the edge of a field near me around 9:30am so I figured I would call it a day. All in all it was a beautiful morning and it was great to be in the woods. It is only a matter of time until the right opportunity presents itself...hmmm I'm thinking sometime within the next week. :tu:
