I have been looking around for a new sight and thought for a while I was going to buy a Copper John sight but came across this Octane NXS sight the other day. I can not seem to find it for sale anywhere to get an idea on the price. Does any know where I could find it for sale? Is it even out yet?
I'd like to get a new bow now. I've got my eyes set on one actually but it'll have to wait until 2010.
I like the looks of it as well. Bares a resemblance to the Spott Hogg a bit, but I'll wait until I see a review to jump to those conclusions. Besides, archery isn't as much about innovation as it is improvements, right?:D
I will definately check one out, but at first glance, I don't see much to sway me from my Vipers. Yeah, that's plural MGH, I have another on order for the Air Raid. It's getting set up with all of the same stuff on the 101st, just in black.
Can't camo match this one as easily, huh? Lol. Black is the way to go anyways, you just needed some convincing.
Actually, I could match it, BUT, if this bow is what I think it is, I will be dismantling it after turkey season and sending it and its accs to be dipped in Fall Grey. I am already saving my money for that. That's the main reason that I ordered black.:d
I saw the sight at the ata show and they look to be the real deal. Not sure when they will hit the store shelves or the price. Maybe I can get some info at the IL Classic next weekend. I plan on ordering at least one of these.
Weight was not bad at all. And no lockdown knob, it has spring tension to hold it in the different positions.
There are 2 models, a target and a "hunter" the "hunter" has a shorter frame and non-adjustable mounting bracket while the target has a slide style sight bar that has a ball detent system to allow you to feel the notches for adjustment in and out.....then you lock it down with the locking screw on top of the mount. The ball/detent does not hold the position of the bar , only allows you to find your notches precisely. This prevents you from dropping the locking screw somewhere in between notches or on an edge possibly messing up the machining.
