Well, I ordered my new rest for my Sentinel tonight and was trying to decide between the Octane Hostage Pro and the Whisker Biscuit.... after looking at how much Trophy Ridge has jacked up the prices on the WB's, my decision became much more clear and I placed the order for the Hostage Pro.... I can't wait to get it and install it on my bow. I wanted something that was easy to set-up and maintain that was very practical for hunting which is why the VaporTrail Limb Driver wasn't installed.

Glad you guys are happy with it. I really like the rest but I'm about to change mine as well. Shooting the small diameter Easton Axis arrows is ridiculously tough on the bristles. There isn't enough exposed shaft between the vanes, so the base of the vanes wears on the outside of each set of bristles. If I shot different arrows, it would be my rest for a long time to come... but I'm tired of switching out the bristles. As they wear, my center shot changes and I'm constantly having to adjust my rest and my sight... I get a couple hundred shots before I have to replace them and that's starting to get a little tiring.

I shot a 285 today in 3d with one today. My average is right around 285:)

Great rest I am really happy with it. Quiet, simple and it works.

Anyone else shoot small diameter arrows? Like 17/64?

I've never shot one, but my dad did last year (gold tip 5575s) and he needed to buy replacement brushes as it chewed through them rather fast. The rest is nice, but the replacement schedule is the downfall.

Switched from the WB to the hostage pro last season. I love the rest. Very quiet. Very simple. Very accurate. And the thought of the vanes not passing through bristles is soothing to me.

I've had mine for about a year now and I shoot a bunch. I am just now needing to replace the bottom brush. The top brushes are still fine. I'm really happy with the rest.

it depends which brushes you have. I got the first run and they wore out faster than Paris Hilton on a Friday night.

Octane brushes are way more durable now IMO.

Dubbya, my buddy had the same issues as you with his FMJ's, so he switched rests.

I also like my Hostage Pro. It took a very long time before I had ANY wear on my brushes, and it was only the bottom. I switched it out with one of the top brushes.

I used the Hostage Pro with Easton Axis arrows and loved it......until the brushes wore down and had to adjust sights and ultimately replace brushes. I hear the new bristles wear better and I might go back and try them again. I'm using the Limb Driver now and love it. Easy to set up, dead on consistent, quiet, and no worn bristles.
