So you guys for it or not. Man is this going to cost us money. When is this Guy going to quit spending?
If I didn't work, I would be for it but since I have a job and would have to pay for it I have to say NOOOOOOOOO.
read Paul Ryan's explanation of how much it is REALLY gonna cost... the biggest expenses are backloaded and the 2nd 10yrs of this is where it really gets expensive... over $2T over 20yrs....
I have as much concern over how they're going about it. I think I'm just gonna tell the IRS, this year, that I fully intended to.......so I'm going to tell them I am "deemed" to have paid them, already. If it works for Congress.......why won't it work, for me?
:D Good luck with that Jeff! :D Me, I'm against it. I have good, not great, health insurance. Mine is paid in full by my employer, I pay a large amount for my wife and daughter. Even though I pay as much as I do, and have a high, ($2500), annual deductible, I am considered to have a "Cadillac" insurance package. That means I'll be spending more for health insurance. I don't want to pay for Joe Blows health care through a tax on my plan. Paying for my wife and daughter is all I should be reasonably expected to pay for. Its pretty simple in my eyes. If you don't have health insurance find a job that offers it. Can't find that job? Do something about it! Get some training for a new job, move to somewhere thats hiring, Live without health insurance for years like I did before I could get it. I got to where I am by busting my hump and constantly looking for ways to better myself in my trade. Now I have a position that offers insurance. That wasn't always the case. I'm tired of the gimme, gimme, entitlement minded crap I see so much of today.
When you can't exclude a potential insured, due to a pre-existing condition.....it no longer becomes "insurance". It becomes an entitlement. Who pays for those?
how far back does "pre-existing" go man??? if you are born with it, like say a heart defect or somethin... life is a pre-existing condition... the pre-existing condition thing is a BIG problem... I'm against this bill, but the pre-existing condition thing needs to be addressed... albeit separately from a total makeover of healthcare...
I'm as against this as anyone. Man is this going to put the hurt bag on the working folk. But even worse what it does to our kids.
I do not like anything that the general public is against openly, while Congress sneakily tries to push it through for a cheap victory at the Middle Class taxpayer's expense
Taxing gas and groceries. Go uncle O. Call your local representative and Senate, And tell them how you stand.
Just remember.... Once this is signed into law there is NO going back. It's not like we can just repeal all this.
I am against it for many reasons. First, the feds should not involve themselves with something which can and should be accomplished by "we the people" privately, or by our particular states at that level. Birds of a feather can flock together. Individuals, for example, can pool their resources, networks, doctors...so on and so forth to create that system which provides the birds protection. If teachers can do it, unions can do it, church groups can do it, hunting clubs can do it, then why can't others? Secondly, what has the highest probability of success: 1) you and your neighbor watching out and caring for each other, or 2) you being cared for by some guy half way across the country? "Local" is obviously going to be better. The founding fathers realized this and planned accordingly. Third, I want to know where we get the money? Show me one Federal agency that operates in the black. It doesn't exist, and it never will! Why? Because! People "get" just because. There is no rhyme nor reason for it beyond politics (the bastard dole out our money like they're the ones making it...x2). In order for our government to freely "give" it must agressively "take" (remember, the government does not produce profit for redistribution on its own). When a government takes, without compensation/benefit (as it has been doing), two things are eminent...war or slavery. Those being taken from will only tolerate so much before they fight back (people are starting to fight back), or they will become totally enslaved (I do not think Americans are ready to be enslaved again-the Declaration of Independence makes that perfectly clear). Finally, I do not like the way this thing is being jammed down our throats-despite the public outcry against it.
this is what I don't understand !!! I thought our representatives in congress were supposed to be working for US, not their own pockets !!! I suppose yoiu could call that politics as usual !! I also heard rumors that Obama said he would not back certain politicians when it comes time for re-election if they didn't vote for the plan !!! This is getting dirty and nasty !!~!!
