Just wondering what your thoughts are on it. Yes, i agree that something needs to be done and i pray to God its a diplomatic solution. There is no way Syria could match our military capabilities, but Russia and China can and if they step in beyond diplomatic reasoning, this could unleash something big that we wont be able to turn away from. The chemicals Syria exposed their people too was unacceptable and they should be dealt with. I think they correct way to go about dealing with them is to go to Russia and ask them to take action. As a Syrian ally, they are in a much better position to handle things without stirring the pot. I have a hard time believing Russia isnt upset with Syria's chemical attacks.

Russia was claiming the government didn't do it. Don't know where they stand now.

We all benefit from peace in that region and yes, I am with you we can't allow chemical weapons or any other killing of civilians by a government.

However, I'm not sure who did what in this case and who takes over.

I know this, obama is incapable of handling this kind of situation. If he were, he would have been handling it long before now, when something could have actually been done.

If we get involved in these kinds of conflicts, we have to be sure we're on the right side of it and I'm not sure about that at this point.

I think your right. We need to make sure we are on the right side and we are going about this in the correct manner. Russia is going to be the main ally of Syria who will get involved if we go about this the wrong way. We NEED to get in their pocket and make sure we are going about this in a way they agree with. Like Obama said, "We arent the worlds police" so lets not act like we are.

Just don't think Obama and his peeps are the one's that should do anything.

How about letting another country save the day for a change?

I don't even want to fully give my opinion, but that man is a liar and a manipulative egomaniac and not out for the best interests of his own country. And as a soldier, we are burned out from Iraq and Afghanistan and the funds aren't there thanks to Obama and his administration unable to do a budget which led to furloughs and the sequestration. Now he wants another war, even though he says no boots on ground?

I would say more of our future would lie in the hands of China, seeing as they been bank rolling us for some time.

I agree though we need to make sure we are on the right side and know without a doubt what happened and who is who.

We can not turn a blind eye to evil. For one it is the right thing to do and for two, it will reach our shores sooner or later. We did nothing about Bin Laden for too long, even when he was offered up.

Look at history and Hitler. People never took him seriously until it was too late. We even had separatists back then saying we should stay out of it but we all know we did the right thing by getting involved.

We just can't be too quick to jump in and make sure we have the facts correct and not play politics.

Hell, if the other side had chemical weapons they wouldn't hesitate to use them on women, children and yes, us. The war is a magnet for extremists from the Suni an Shiite sects. The more killed or otherwise occupied in war, the less likely we are to be attacked. I personally don't have a problem with terrorists killing other terrorists.

Meanwhile, both sides stock pile more chemical and nuclear weapons and get smarter at distributing such evil until they decide they need to eliminate all Judaic Christian societies, such as the one we live in. They have been fighting such Christianity since the beginning of time . I'm sure if we just ignore them, they will leave us alone. (Sarcasm)

This evil must be met head on but we must be sure we are actually attacking those that committed such acts and the results will be for the greater good and not for the greater evil.

That's conundrem we face. That's why we must be sure we're on the right side but if the government is truly the ones using the chemical weapons on it's own people, then we need to take action but I'm not convinced that is what happened and I'm positive obama will half *** it.

Not to disagree but we got involved because they attacked us. Yet we did nothing when one of our embassy got attacked killing Americans. With me being a embassy guard while in USMC, I find this very unacceptable and I can't even imagine being one of the Marines on duty during that and nothing happening.

I agree evil can't exsist but until that evil messes with us then why get involved. We had a chance to stop Saddam too during the first Gulf War but didn't and look what that got us.

The only way I'd stand behind any military action in Syria would be do go over and beat the hell out of them, get rid of anybody who gets in the way and either take and keep complete control or get the hell out completely and do the same thing everytime they mess up. But seeing as we won't do that I see no point Iin getting involved and potentially putting the next idiot in charge that will pull same crap over there. Example Egypt.

It will make it to our shores at some point. Decisions we make now will have an effect as to the extent. But that really isn't even the point.

Germany did not attack us but japan did. Germany did declare war on us but we were already actively attacking german uboats so I guess you could make an argument either way.

Its gonna eventually make it here regardless if we get involved in every little thing in the middle east or not. The only difference is eventually we'll piss of someone who got a little more weight to throw around and it'll be more then a couple hijacked planes.

Thats the misconception. We could sit back and never do anything and they will still attack us simply for our beliefs. Its been thay way since the beggining and it will not change until they change, or we accept their belief systems
