Actually that is not true, I want all spending cut, across the board.

It's like saying, hey I am going to cut public television funding, because it's not going to affect very many people, but I will not cut defense, Medicare or SS. Because it affects the least amount of people.

    Two flawed ideologies.

What exactly have you given me? As if you know anything about me, "mediocrity has trapped me in"... lol. I fit in the range of people I believe should pay more taxes. A quote that's recently popped up that I really like is, "Where are these gifts everyone keeps talking about? I want some!"

Try running an s corp for a couple of years and you will change that tune, a farmer, timber company or many other small business will simply be forced to close.
Why do we have different tax rates in a country where we are all supposed to be equal? Is not 20% of a million a larger amount than 20% of 35 thousand? If tax rates were all the same the rich would still pay an astronomical high % of the tax dollars collected.

Well it's just my opinion Germ so I'm not sure what part wasn't true. My point was simply that many people are too worried about how much they pay and who should pay what that they aren't even asking where it all goes after it's paid in.

Not true in the way I see it, not that your statement was not true.

Why not everybody pay more or lose tax credits? Why not the bottom 20% of earners who pay .3 of 1% of total taxes or the bottom 40% many of whom also pay next to nothing due to deductions and credits? Why do you think some should contribute more but most should not? I'm not attacking just curious.

Is $800,000 not much easier to live on than $28,000? So, say we double that tax rate to 40%, and keep it at 20% for the 35k. Is $600,000 much easier to live on than $28,000? Is $600,000 not enough? Are you saying you can't buy everything you've ever wanted, and then some, set up college funds, prepare for retirement, and probably set up trust funds as well on $600,000? What about on $28,000? Do you think they have the ability to do any of those things on that salary? Do you think a nurse, teacher, firefighter, policeman are worthless, "mediocre" people? If the country needs money, and it does (as well as cutting spending), who do you think is most able to provide it?

I still don't understand why you would want to pay more taxes. Could you please explain?

Sheer ability to do so without greatly affecting their standard of living.

    I agree, let's do it:)

As a rich person who sold stuff, why would you want the largest consumer group with less money?

Well that's just nonsense. Don't you know that the rich people buy everything? (please read a hefty dose of sarcasm in that)

Wouldn't better government spending achieve the same goal?

Do you really think that small business owners get to keep all the money that comes in the door? Do you think that dairy farmers pocket those milk checks? Do you think John Deere gives us combines free to use, no fuel bills either?
We pay taxes on every dime that comes in the door and in the end we keep damn little.
You are clueless on taxes and where there come from and who pays them, in the end its the consumer that pays all of them! Thats right we pass them on, **** runs down hill and if you are on the bottom of the hill well guess what?

Well they also get way more deductions also, so it goes both ways. Because of my development business every Ipad I own is deductible. My 55'' Sony, yep I use that to test on:whip:
