Having the best hospitals does not equate to having the best healthcare. You have to see the big picture, which is difficult for most people not embedded in it.
Are you freaking serious? The best hospitals are made up of the best employess, equipment, knowledge, training etc. It is NOT perfect but it is much better than what most countries have. St jude is 12 on the list and is FREE. Operates on donations. For the record,my wife is a surgical tech as well as an RN so I know what goes on to some degree. Her hospital was in the top 575 world wide.
I added a new list on my original post after you quoted me. http://hospitals.webometrics.info/en/World
I for one think the NATIONAL government has no place in the healthcare system. They struggle enough with what they are supposed to be involved in. Considering we have the best hospitals in the world, where can they go from there? The free enterprise system is why they are at the top. WE all benfit from it. YES,it is true that it is expensive but as I said earlier, any good product is.Insurance and hospitals do battle back and forth and free loaders do drive cost up for all of us. Here is the kicker to that, the dems will lead you to believe the uninsured don't get healthcare but how do they drive cost up if they aren't receiving healthcare? The answer is that they DO receive healthcare, just like everyone else, the difference is we pay for it and not them. My wife has come home a few times saying they did a heart surgery for free today. OH,and having more doctors per capita IS A GOOD THING.
