NYS Bow Sight Question

    Is a sight with the LED that illuminates your pins considered illegal for hunting in New York.

    From DEC website:

    "It is unlawful to hunt big game with:

    •A firearm or bow aided by any artificial light or a laser that projects a beam toward the target."

    Or is that in reference only to flashlight and spotlight type stuff?

    I ask because it is impossible to see the pins when inside of my blind.

    It is legal, it just refers to no lighting used to illuminate the game not your setup

    Thank you. Thats what I thought, but you can never really be sure with NY rules and regs.

    yes you are ok here in New York I hunt check out the regs. as I working on get a bow and start bow hunting myself
