With the new license structure here in NY and no more "Combination Licenses" being offered I am trying to find out as much as possible. Friend of mine here on the forum got all of his tags that would equal the "Super Sportsman" combination for about the same price...GREAT that's what I am hoping for as well and am going to purchase mine on-line as he did to not have any mix ups...but another friend of mine went yesterday to a local ****'s Sporting Good store and did not get the same tags and was missing one Archery tag. He got one Archery Tag and one Firearm Tag...Anyone know for sure whats going on with all this?

Another big question that I have is, does anyone know whats going on with the sale of DMP's? As of now the sale of these tags are postponed.

This is what was stated on the DEC website:

Please Note: We are experiencing unexpected results with the deer management selection process and therefore we are suspending DMP sales while we resolve the issue. All other items for the 2014/15 license year remain available for sale. We hope to have the DMP issue resolved shortly, and we will keep you apprised. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Thanks guys!!!

GREAT... my bro-in-law had trouble this morning submitting for his license/tags online.
I think I'll wait til the ***holes get their heads out and know what they're doing (hopefully before 10/1).

I agree Jerry, I think am going to wait a little and see what the deal is with the DMP's. I also would like to know more about all this and know FOR SURE what the deal is. I know Glenn from the forums got his tags on-line and everything went well for him and seems like he got the exact same as the "Super Sportsman" Combination, but my buddy had a different experience.

I'm looking to get the equivalent of the "Super Sportsman" too. This year and next will be my last time doing that for full price. After that I'll be getting it for hopefully the $5 fee.

Yea I always get the super sportsmen, since I started hunting...I think once I find out more about the new system and whats going on I might consider the lifetime license.

I bought mine online today.. hunting tag plus archery and muzzleloader and turkey cost $180 total.
They said DMPs are not available for sale yet for some reason.. a problem with the system. I will go back on in a couple of weeks or call to submit for my 2 zones tags.

$180?!? Seems extremely steep, even for NY. Non-Resident???

Buddy got his tags for $97 and that was 1 antlered and 1 antlerless archery deer, firearm buck, 2 fall and 2 spring turkey, 1 black bear, and fishing license. Only thing he didn't get were DMP's this is the equivalent to the "Super Sportsmen"

Went back on today after emailing them and they said that WMUs are now available online. So I got my 2 today... all set.

    Non Resident Fees:
    Hunting - $100
    Turkey Permit - $20
    Bowhunting Privilege - $30
    Muzzleloading Privilege - $30

    Total $180

    DMP for 4T and 7H - $10

    Total NON RESIDENT = $190

This is $100 less expensive than years prior
