Got lucky on a setup last night guys. I got the itch to shoot a doe and figured I wanted one out of the way before my week of vacation in November. One of Dan's fields was planted in about 20 acres of corn this year, and the farmer started cutting it last week. He had it about half cut except for one spot that left a really secluded inside corner. I went in and put in a lock on stand, and sat down. Right at dark, and after seeing a good 15+ deer that were out of range, this girl came in and hopped the hedgerow, and ended up right in my shooting lane at 30 yards. She only went about 70ish yards or so. Now that I've scratched that itch, I'm going to wait for a buck. Sorry for the poor pics, it was late and I had to still get her butchered, so I wasn't messing around with dragging her into the field for a pic.
Congrats on the doe! She's a fine one! I chickened out, and passed another one at 30yds last night because of the rain
