I was just wondering how many different bucks you guys have on your cams. I have one camera that has over 20 different bucks with about 5 being shooters. Is this normal?

It all depends on the situation, property, area, etc.

I would go out on a limb and say that 20 different bucks is generally not normal for the average hunter though.

Lots of variables. The last couple years, that would be common for me. I've had 20-30 different bucks using my mineral site through out the summers. Had about a dozen really good bucks too. This year, I've probably only had about 10 different bucks, and only a couple possible shooters. Only one that consistently used it.

Lots of factors go into it, I think deer numbers are down in my area, but not down that much. The only other thing I can attribute it to is cows. For the last 5 years, there has been a 40 acre piece of property on my east border that has basically sat untouched. This spring, the put cows on it. The cows run on the north 30 acres, as the south 10 acres are a timber ditch. The bucks have been bedding in that ditch area over the last few years, but I think the cows are just close enough to push them out of there. At least, that's the only explanation I can come up with for such a change in behavior.

I think some of you guys post this stuff just to brag about how many deer you have.

He's dead. I killed him this afternoon. He was trying to mount a 5x5 elk, so I killed him. Camera broke just before I pulled the trigger, sorry. :)

If you want to look at my pics I've posted some of the better ones over in the trail cam section. The reason I posted this thread is because I thought that ammount of bucks on one cam was not normal.

It happens...last year I had 12 different bucks on camera on one property that I hunt...5 of which were shooters the rest were spikes or forks.
