This sent Bob Beckel of the five on a rant, but he despises the NRA. I like the add. Thoughts?

Pretty terrible ad if you ask me. I can almost guarantee 100% that MLK would not have or did not support the NRA, or that terrible ad for that matter.

He tried to get a gun and was denied a permit to protect himself against the threats against his life. He was denied the basic right the NRA protects.

You may be wrong on that one.

I like it. It's just a different view on a righteous goal.

Yes its a much better assumption that he would be a leftist that would want to take away peoples constitutional rights. Sure sounds like MLK to me.

Who is this MLK that you have knowledge of that is not for equal rights and basic rights (one that he himself attempted at doing?) ?

I like the ad and it brings a strong message. I have a black employee in his late 20's that is going to take the CCL class here in Illinois and having more like him in the ranks of the NRA is not bad in my eyes, not is referencing the fact Dr. King was trying to get a permit.

Even though I enjoy all of the modern day conveniences, sometimes I wish we lived in smaller communities and were more dependent on the land and felt a little more vulnerable. People feel way too comfortable these days and our country's logical conscious is declining as a result. My goodness, what is the friggin problem with people who want to carry guns?

I am seriously amazed how smart and stupid our country has become at the same time over the past 40 years or so.
