Ok, the fact that anyone is watching, quoting and accepting Fox News as a reliable source of information is beyond naive. Borderline foolish even. obama is an idiot.. And so is every other politician.. No news there. hooker is 100% correct that he has nothing to do with this flag. which should raise the question to any enlightened cat as to why would a news station concentrate on this story when there are far greater issues at hand. Obviously the conclusion would be.. What's in it for Fox News? Oh wait.. They just want the republicans to gain control again.. And to do this they are trying (through visual stimulation) to get the patriotism out of the viewer. Fox News is suggesting Obama and the dems must be anti-patriots.. And therefore against America. That little "freedom of speech" protects those who are against people desecrating our national emblem as much as it protects those who have no respect for it and those who sacrificed for it. Add to that your "then move out of the country" statement and you have just demonstrated that you don't believe in the first amendment unless of course the people exercising their right agree with you. I don't do that, but on the flip side of that, would you prefer someone quote CNN as a reliable source of information since they refuse to report on anything that casts a negative light on the Obama administration? Agreed. I never said he did. I said it's an embarrassment and it pisses me off. True, but our national ensign inspires a lot of patriotism and a lot of patriots have died to ensure it keeps flying. I never blamed Obama for this. I said it pissed me off and it's an embarrassment, and for your information, there's a hell of a difference in one getting their "panties in a bunch", as you so eloquently put it, and a military veteran being offended seeing this mans face on a American Flag regardless of where it's flying. A lot of patriots died defending that freedom of speech. Quite a few on this forum spent their entire adult lives defending that freedom of speech, and I have no problem with anyone exercising that right. There's a big difference, though, in "freedom of speech" and putting the face of what I consider to be the CURRENT single, biggest threat to the American way of life on an American flag. If you don't like my opinion, that's fine, and I'll sleep perfectly well tonight knowing that you think my "panties are in a bunch".
