Sounds like a Nuevo rich guy wanting to sound polically correct.
He should follow Mother Terisa's life style then.

He may only own 3 cars and only go out to dinner a few timesaver week but where is his million$?
Under his bed? Buried in his back yard? No I bet it in a back that loaning it out to others or invested in a company to help them expand in the for of stocks. I bet he lives in a very nice home and paying $20k-$80k in property taxes every year.

If what he says we're the case, France, Spain or Italy would be the superpower we are. We are what we are because we are each free in out persuit of happiness.
    My two cents.

I agree with alot of what he said. The biggest problem i had was at the beginning when he said that people say do not tax the wealthy. I do not believe anyone wants the wealthy to pay no taxes, but how much of a burden should they carry? I am not wealthy, i do not even think i know someone who is wealthy, but i think for the most part they pay a pretty good chunk of taxes. I think we all agree that a healthy middle class is essential to having a vibrant economy. I personally think if the tax code were simplified, and alot of the loop holes and exemptions were removed than we would have alot less arguing over who is or is not paying there fair share.

I suppose you can say rich "People" do not create jobs, but, rich people generally run business, or invest in projects that do create jobs. a guy that makes 40,000 and pays 35% pays in $14,000. A guy that makes 4 million and pays 20% pays in 800,000. Seems to me that's more that a fair share going to the government. What we need is government reform, not tax increases for anyone. It's time we stand up and tell the government that they are no longer able to waste our money, and it is time that THEY become fiscally responsible. Stop sending our money overseas, stop wasting money on broken programs.

I've typed about 5 responses to this and keep deleting them.........

I still can't comprehend how anyone can believe that the government knows better about how to spend our money than a private and free enterprise system. What it really boils down to is that we need to quit trying to figure out how to tax the higher income brackets at a higher percentage, and instead figure out a way to get everyones tax percentages down to the same level.

Enough of this class warfare, let's figure out how to get our government spending inline with what our country can afford. That includes cutting the nation building, and entitlements IMHO.

Enjoyed that video. I will have to watch a couple more times to soak it all in. Again, I say, the choice is not between Republican and Democrat ideologies. As long as we remain stuck in that rut... well... we stay stuck. Its refreshing, agree or disagree to hear someone actually saying consumers are the driving force behind the economy. True entrepenuers, recognize an area of potential profit and exploit it by starting business ventures. They are invaluable, as are the consumers who willingly purchase what is offered for consumption. He still didn't get it though, deciding who to take the taxes from is not the problem. Who decided to take the taxes in the first place is the problem. It is not a Republican verses Democrat wrestling match that is going to right the ship, it is cooperation between the rich and the middle class and the poor. It is not who is religiously correct or not, or who lives in the South or the North, or in a big city verses a small town. It is about us cooperating together... here... in this Country... USA... to mutual benefit one another... not China... not Iran... not Afghanistan. Us... here... now... We don't need to answer the tax question. We need to answer the unity question. Okay, I'm done, have a nice weekend everyone... Love ya.

That was a different era. Coming out of the great depression and having to fight WWII on two fronts and no competition from Japan, China, Germany etc.

Besides, Cuba did that. Castro has all power and stole it from the rich and gave it to the poor......well sort of. He's now got himself on the fortune 500 list while the countries Doctors and garbagemen alike are all living on rations and have been for the past 50yrs. When Castro took over it was the 2nd largest economy in South America now you be hard pressed to say it even qualifies as a banana republic.

Bottom line how do you want to have the power, the citizens and businesses or the politicians and the military?

I've got to say though, it's always funny to me to hear the left talking about the economy and creating jobs. I'm a little older than a lot of you guys but I remember when Reagan had to fight a 35yr entrenched democratic party that controlled congress to get the country back on track after the Carter years. When everything was finally going great and Reagan was getting the credit the media called it the "Era of Greed" meaning we were all really greedy because we were reaping the benefits of our labors. It cracked me up. In those days people didn't realize how much the media was bamboozling us because it was all control by leftist. Especially AM radio, that what made Rush and Fox news such a big hit.

It's like hearing the democrats talk about using our military or PETA talking about how to cook a steak :)

He said nothing about the government spending money, lol. Simple is stating who the real job creators are, that's it.

Poking holes in the myth about raising taxes on the job creators. Not stating to do so, just destroying the myth.

For the record I am Independent. History does not support some of your statements. A little reading for you...there are many similar articles on the web if you have a problem with the sources
