We have another exciting season of baseball to look forward to!

Cubs catchers and pitchers report this week, followed by the rest of the squad on the 18th.

Here's to another season of Alfonso Soriano making roughly $17 million to strike out 120+ times, steal less than 10 bases, and hit .250.

Here's to another season of Aramis Ramirez making $15 million while trotting out his ground balls, hitting .250 and driving in less than 100 runs.

Here's to another season of Carlos Zambrano showing promise one game, then smashing in water coolers the next - all while grabbing his junk with such ferocity that it may tear off at any time.

And let's not forget Kosuke Fukudome, whose games played, hits, RBIs, walks and batting average have all gone down every year he's been with the Cubs.

Ah yes, we Cubs fans welcome in another season of Chicago baseball. At least we've got our bleachers, our cold bear, and our hot chicks.

I used to think Soriano was the second coming (when he was a rookie).

But, IMO, a power-hitting second baseman who fails to make contact as much as he does.......is a huge liability. I'd rather have a slap hitter that hits 4 HR's .....but hits .300 (and everything else that goes along with hitting .300).

Well, over for those of us who don't work in the league!

Bring on the warm weather and the Wrigley Field bleachers.

Miller Park is a great stadium and a nice place to watch a game, I'll give you that. But it doesn't compare to the experience of the Wrigley Field bleachers on a sunny Saturday afternoon. That's baseball!

And Germ - aren't they all??

You are welcome to be a Twins fan. They will slather you up with hope and joy after putting together an amazing regular season and then kick you in the nutz when they lose to the Yankees AGAIN in the post-season.

You could always become a Brewers fan, especially since they'll be taking the division this year... At least I sure hope so with all the new additions

Don't worry, we only like to spend money on players who are at the end of their career and really don't contribute anything to the team.

And there is still hockey, march madness and golf to look forward to as well as baseball.:nana::woot:

I'm so excited about the yankees. I can't wait to see who is the 4 guy in the rotation. Freddy Garcia or Bartolo Colon. I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation.

Until we get to the MLB playoffs.......college baseball will be what I watch. I had lunch last week with a guy I used to play against in college (his son got the winning hit in last year's CWS).
