Hey GB guys, I'm really just trying to get you all revved up and have a little fun with ya. ;)

I'm not what you would call a hardcore Viking fan...my heart has been broken too many times. :(

Cooter, man.............your in an arguement you cant win, trust me, i grew up on the border. Just back off and let the wins do the talking for us!

My biggest gripe with favre is the media attention he gets. The guy farts and immediately Chris Berman and Madden are down there smelling around him trying to determine what his fart might mean. Drives me nuts!

That's still better than the pack did last year.

Let me clarify my position. I have been a long time Packer Fan even before Farve. So being a Packer fan makes me hate the Vikes and the Bears automaticlly. Most people saw the writing on the wall the year before Brett retired the 1st time. He wanted Moss and Tompson never even talked to Moss. If it were me that would be a slap in the face and a sign that nobody wanted me there.

Pushed out the door is more of what happened than a joyfull retirement.IMO If it wasn't for the torn bicep (sp) the jets would have went alot farther.

For all you Packer die hards that just want Brett to go away I agree it would make the transistion easier but you all forgot he gave his all in GB and now you act like he killed your dog. I say MN has a better record than GB I don't think they are superbowl bound but neither are the Pack.

Vikes will beat the Pack with or without Favre this year. It was entirely too much drama but that was due to the coverage of major networks. Bottom line is Favre still can play. To the level he did in his prime? I don't think anyone can say that he does. But if he is consistent the Vikes can make a run. They are built to win now. Even if it's crappy play Favre will bring something to the table more than Jackson which the Vikes have zero confidence in right now.

I think this is overblown, Derrick Mason came out of retirement, nobody pointed him out. The reason the Favre thing gets so exploded is because he is the most loved and hated football player of the last 18 seasons, hands down.

I hate to admit it, but i think he will be successful in Minnesota

I don't doubt that some of the players are uspet about him missing camp...

The thing is, Favre will fit our offense PERFECTLY...a problem he had in NY.

He was on the field with them, today.

Once they leave the field I care not what they do. The vikes are with out a doubt a better team with him. He has a SLIGHTLY:) better runner this year than last, so he will not put it up near as many times. I agree that the drama is over rated, but it sure made for some good conversation around the water cooler at work, no pun intended. He has always hated camp.

I am (and I believe most Packer fans) not bitter now. I'll be honest. If the Vikes win the superbowl (their first i might add :p) then I will be bitter as hell. ;)

    Maybe I don't get it.

What's the BIG deal that he's back playing?

He's indecisive.. BIG deal.. so is my wife.

The man wants to play.. other teams want him to play for them.. it seems silly that the media keeps making this thing so much bigger than it needs to be.

We let convicted criminals back into every sport.. what's the big deal that Brett is back?

Not a viks fan or pack fan, but life long Farve Fan! I love that he's still playing. I hope he has a great season. I think the viks are now my # 2 favorite team..as the Jets were last season! Go Viks!

Then how come so many of the viking players had been trying to talk Favre into joining the team even AFTER camp opened a few weeks ago?

The viking players want a chance to WIN.

Who gives a rip if he missed some practice? He has been running this offense for 19 years.

Are Pro Bowl QB's (Favre was named to team by his peers each of the past two seasons) what you consider marginal?

Funny how many people blame Favre for a poor performance towards the END of last season even though it was an injury which was the cause.

Really all you can say is that he displayed poor judgement in not just pulling himself out since he was not healthy enough to perform at a high level.

    Nor do I.

I also don't get how people can get so riled up over a sport....it has absolutely no impact on ones life.
