I was shooting the Katera XL, shooting at 25, 34, and 43yds. I put the new target cover one and shot a group from 43yds....

Now you tell me.... And yes, those are mismatched arrows, but all Carbon Stalker Extremes.....:D

Which bow to take on the elk hunt??? I think the Katera is easily 15fps faster, but a little more finicky at times as well.

I don't know. You missed the x-ring with that bottom arrow there. I don't think that bow is shooting all that well :p

Believe it or not, I still feel a little more confident with the Trykon in my hands, that's why I'm really confused!!! The Katera just shoots well one day, and then not so well the next. I'm sure it's the guy behind the bow, but I'm shooting both daily, and have a little over 3 weeks to decide.

As much as I'd like an Alphamax, I'd not trade BOTH bows for one. I may trade one and some $$$, but not both.

Keep practicing Doug, you can tighten that group up. :p

Nice shootin'. Now you know you can shoot both equally well, I'd opt for the lightest set up. You'll be humpin the mountains. I'd also recommend one of the bow slings available. Something to think about.

Thanks Rob, I don't think I WANT to tighten it too much!!! :D This is gonna be tough, I'm gonna use the Katera on a 3D course tomorrow, and it may help me make up my mind!!! Both bows shoot quite well, but again, I still feel a TINY bit better with the Trykon.

I have the Katera XL and never could shoot the trykon - but if your grouping like that with both of em I would say can't go wrong with either of em
