If you could shoot the 180 FIRST next time, that would be great. I kid, I kid, congrats again, what a beast!
Well at first I thought he was around 180. But I just got done doing a unofficial score and He went 204 7/8 and field dressed right at 200 lbs. I'm still in cant believe what happen and still shaking! And this went down at 6:45 this morning. Thanks guys for all the support. I do wish I could have shot him for contest, that would have been crazy!
When you said 180ish, I thought that was light, but 205 WOW. Have you checked Maryland records? That's gotta be way up there for a bowkill
Yeah I just checked it. It would have to net score over 190 to make the top ten Maryland. 204" was his gross score, I think he have a lot of deductions and go below 190. I will most likely have him scored. The number 1 bow buck in MD netted around 220
When you said you had a once in a lifetime MD buck I was thinking wow he's got a 180 walking around. That's an unbelievable buck. Congrats on him and the hard work. Unfortunately I didn't pull the trigger on my lease. I had some very nice young bucks come within 30 yards but we are trying to let them grow (there are some very nice older deer on the property) . I got to see them put on a great show. Responding to grunts, scraping, thrashing trees all within bow range of me. Saw a ton of deer for that property too. I'll be back out soon enough. I ran my numbers thru the B&C website and it will calculate the score for with deductions. He came out at 192 3/8" net! If there isn't much shrinkage after the wait period, He will be in the top ten of Maryland bow kills of all time! I cant belive this! Thanks guy for all the support and congrats! I hope this will give you the drive to get out hunt! It can happen to anyone! If any one wants me to text pics to them, Just let me know.
I'm unrelated news, our baby girl arrived at 7:06 this morning! Just in time for rifle season to start here in MO. If she's going to be a hunter, she'll have a real good chance for a birthday buck every year.
