Well guys quick up date from tonight. I shot the 10 pt that I have been seeing. The shot wasn't the greatest. I ended up hitting guts and not sure if any thing else. Had a little blood on arrow, so hoping 1 lung or liver. He bedded 25 yards from my stand in the creek, he's in bad shape and sounded like he couldn't get out the creek. I was stuck in the stand for hour and half then I couldn't hear him anymore, so snuck out. Now just a waiting game, going back in late tonight. I don't like leaving deer over night, rarely able to salvage the meat when I do. I will keep you guys posted. He's a dead deer, just need to wait it out.
Can't wait for the update! Congrats on putting yourself in position to make it happen. Pumped for you! Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Got a very small bit of good news from my neck of the woods... Got our corn chopped this evening and I believe the 30ish acres of corn the neighbors have to the south should be getting chopped in the next couple days as well. Hopefully that pushes the deer around and I actually have something worth chasing. My cameras have been cold for nearly two months...
Holt got the first doe and first buck! The man doesn't waste any time. Congrats man, nice looking buck! (Now you can focus on that freak!)
Thanks guys! He died 40 yards from the stand. Not 1 drop of blood, the hole out his belly was plugged at the shot. I had to stay in the stand last night for a hour and half after dark because he bedded 30 yards from me. When I couldn't hear him moving any more I snuck down and got out of there.
Well I just scored the buck and he went a little bigger than I thought he would! 117 1/8. Hope to have him up in the score card tonight. Just got to upload the pics.
Congrats Holt great buck. It much to update here. My season isn't going well do to work. My company built a new building a we are smack dab in the middle of warehouse transfer so we are currently asked to work 7 days a week. With a pregnant wife and two kids it doesn't leave much time. I was driving to work this morning at 5:30, 45 degrees and just dreaming about tree stand. If anything i may be able to focus on late season and should get a few hunts before baby comes. She is due November 13th. Good luck to everyone I'm pulling for you guys.
