I checked about 6 of my big white oaks today, and none of them are dropping any acorns yet. I'm hoping it's because it's still too early?

So far 7 bucks! 2-3 are a shooter for me and about a dozen does. 2 of the bucks are out of velvet and 1 was rubbing right when it came out, so he will be out of velvet really soon.

Early are they holding any acorns? My main area does not have a lot of oak trees so it's not usually something I pay attention to.

You have no idea of the night I just had! 11 or 12 bucks came out. Lost count after awhile. The the biggest buck I have ever seen in my 25 years of hunting came out and I got to video him for almost 20 minutes! Don't know if I should post a pic yet, I believe he will be booner status. I will down load the video tomorrow and take some screen shots. He is still in full velvet and look like around 16 pts. I'm still shaking, and in disbelief!

These trees are too tall to actually see the acorns in the trees. My cheap binos didn't help.

I decided to not show pics yet. I love sharing pics of deer here and with friends, but this deer is in a class of his own. I have never seen a whitetail like this before. I have sent pics to Feb and early in and they can contest for the size of the deer. If you want to PM your number I will text you a pic.

He's speaking of a once in a lifetime buck, literally. This buck will surpass B&C minimum by quite a bit! Let's go Holt!!!

Holt I can't wait to hear more about that buck man. Love seeing MD Giants.

On a side note, I was shooting my CPXL yesterday and one of the top limbs cracked. I don't know what I'm gonna do with the opener in 4 days.

It's still under warranty so we will see how long they want to fix it or if they'll replace it because they don't make it anymore. I've been looking at the Halon 7 though. I have a 32" DL and the Mathews bows were limited for a long time.

Yeah I got the limbs replaced anyway, that way I have a back up bow. I ended up with the Halon 6, and I'm impressed with it. Not as fast as the bowtech, but a little more forgiving bow.

I'm definitely not a speed freak. I'd rather shoot comfortable and smooth all day long. The biggest issue is shops are slammed this week so who knows how long it'll be.

Kinda pissed right now. I picked up my Wisconsin tag, they no longer include a doe tag and my county is sold out of any doe tags. So now I'll be there with just a buck tag, which is asking for a miracle. And I'm sure the does will be walking by laughing at me.
I sure hope the fish are bitin!
