Been a month are hard hunting for me.

Not wanting to over pressure my main stand on the private land I hunt, I've been hunting public land since the month started. I was waiting for the perfect weather, and the perfect wind to hunt it, and Sunday I got it! Perfect temp, perfect wind, peek rut, and haven't hunted there for almost two weeks. Seemed like the perfect storm.

Well as it turns out it was anything but. After a nine hour sit in the woods I saw a whopping zero deer. Earlier in the season this spot for sure fire for doe sightings, so I figured being the rut, the place would be crawling with bucks seeking hot does. Guess not.

I'm not really sure what to do. I know the deer are using a hay field in the evening and at night, and I've got a stand set along the field edge. I'm tempted to walk back on the run way that leads to the field and setting my climber to intercept them where before they come to the field to feed. I'm hesitant however because I don't want to run the risk of spreading my scent around therefor further reducing deer sightings.

If so if you were faced with this scenario, what would you do? Way I see it I have two options:
    1) Hunt the stand where I've seen deer earlier in the year and hope a buck walks by.
    or
    2) Move locations hoping to intercept deer as they come to feed.

But as I said before I'm hesitant for option two because I run the risk of reducing deer sightings there because I'f spread my scent around.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you're already not seeing deer I dont think you can hurt anything by trying something different. just my opinion.
