I've got one word for ya, Troy: PARAGRAPHS!!! I'll have to wait until I can get time to sort it out, but I'm sure it's gonna be awesome and I'm looking forward to reading it buddy! :D
DUDE!! I've seen this term playfully used for years now on this site (and its predecessor), but this is the FIRST time I've ever used it -- and I know I've saved its use for the appropriate time: RESPECT. Wow, what a respectful and thoughtful decision you made for your buddies. Edit... Thinking back on when I was hunting with John... I remember exactly how you felt: I didn't want his Big 10 to come by. Still... an awesome decision and story.
I think you said it all there in your post Troy. Knowing Mike & J, I am sure they had the same feelings for wanting you to shoot double wide, as you did for passing on him in hopes that they get a crack. I am happy for all of ya.
As usual Ryan has his head on straight! Any one as a guest being aware of his or her host's history with the monster that Troy passed on,who would have shot it is a low life!
Great story, great buck, great hunter. Troy you truly are one of the good guys. Congrats on the buck, he is a beauty.
Hahah I aint counting my ole "captain" out till the fat lady sings, I need one more good buck down before Christmas to wrap this up! and even then if he's in Ohio.. I know hes got more tags for Mich.. this race aint over.. I gotta pour it on now.. I got unfinished business in Idaho left to take care of.
Troy, you are the man! What a stud buck you took and passing up the monster, well that took a lot of strength. Enjoyed the story and pictures. Great job!
I had been looking forward to your story. Passing on the big boy was a class move. Great story, great buck.
