Going back to aluminum arrows this year thanks to Finch. We swapped some gear and he sent me some cool Eastons. Something just told me to shoot aluminums this year after not having used them since 2002-2003 or so. I was filled with nostalgia of days by gone a few weeks ago when I started to think of using aluminums.

I can't wait to let one of these bad boys fly with a big old 2 blade broadhead!

    Still shoot the tin cans.

Probably will never switch... never saw a need too.

Mike, I am excited about using them again to hunt. They are straighter on average than the carbons I used to shoot.

I hope you enjoy them Brett.

    Nothing beats a blood-soaked aluminum.

I am actually really excited to tune them here in the next week. My arrows will weigh around 600 grains this year. :) I am going to light one up with them this fall.

Poorguy's been rockin them for a few years now. If I'm not mistaken, he's been shooting feathers on them too.

Blood soaked alum and blood soaked feathers are super bad A.

You got that right Mike!! 23 years I shot aluminum's, not a damn thing wrong with them arrows. I just felt the need to experiment with FMJ's otherwise I never would've switched up.

When you guys get done hunting for the day you can kick back in front of your 27 inch TV, watch a few episodes of Mr. Belvidere and enjoy a delicious cold beverage.

    Maybe a Crystal Pepsi.

i thought i was cool when i got to be the human quiver and hold pop's aluminum arrows when he was practicing! i would get scolded if i touched the feathers though...hahahaha

busted feathers meant a trip to Burger Brothers and i'd get to stand next to the Bear mount!!!!!!!!!!

I debated going back to aluminum arrows this winter. The nice thing with carbon is I mess up fewer arrows. A drawback to carbon, from what I hear, is if one breaks off in a deer, you have to throw out a big circle of meat near the break. The carbon is horrible to ingest.

What are other reasons to go back to aluminum?
