Went back behind my house today to check my trail cam (its on about 90 acres) and the d*** thing was gone. Someone had the audacity to come on my own property and steal my camera. Why would you take something thats not yours?!?!?! Especially if its not even on your land!!!!! Really heated about this:rant: Not to mention it was my only trail camera i had left:rant:

Man that is the worst feeling...I know someday it'll happen to us I'm sure.

If an issue persists, hang them high (take a short step ladder) and angle down, takes away some distance shots somewhat but discourages stealing somewhat or makes the low lifes have to work for them.

I've been there and understand exactly how you feel. I would have loved to have beaten the crap out of the kid that stole my stuff, but I refrained. Karma(or ignorance) will come back to get them. The kid that stole my stuff is in prison now.

And that is the reason why I am hesitating on buying a trail cam...

Had that happen to me. 200 yards north of my parents house in the middle of our pasture. Took a lot of balls to walk in there to steal a camera. Sucks man.

What we really need is an honest society!!! We shouldn't have to be worried about our trail cameras out on our own land that NOBODY has permission to be on. It's unfortunate that there are so many people that simply don't care about or respect other peoples property.

They continually get smaller and smaller, that's as important as placement and camo.

Had that happen a few months back but later realized it was a bear. I had a fruit punch bomb on top of the camera and it got the camera all covered in that fruit punch smell.

I wonder if these new Tiles would work? You need to be in range and the $20 buck but it may work in the future with better technology and a lower price for them.

That is bull****. I have 2 trailcams and believe they are awesome. I look forward to checking them almost as much as sitting in woods. Unfortunatley, they sit on the shelf in my garage because I am afraid to put them out. I look at them everyday and debate in my head which is a bigger waste of $$$, leaving them on the shelf or having them stolen.

Someone was trespassing and you got their picture. There's no chance they're going to let you get a picture of them. Some people will only steal the card out of the camera, a somewhat honest thief. Learn how to hide your camera. Whether its high or brushed in, they can't steal what they can't find.
