Congrats Duke, but my heart lies with Butler as the champs as they derseved it just as much. Great game.
That's fine... but Duke is the winner.. Duke didn't shoot well but still won.. It was a great game defensively by both teams. It was a toss up at the end. Who ever prevailed deserved it. P.S. Nybowhunter..... Duke won. LOL I know you're hating it. LOL
Butler had a bad shooting night, they had their chance, if they shoot 40% they win the game. Duke step up when it counted, and that is why the banner says Duke
the game was only close due to indiana referees,bad calls & no calls.if that game would have been played any where else duke would've smashed them.the referees was the only reason they didnt get smashed i mean 4 fouls in 90 seconds come on stevie wonder could've seen what was going on even the broadcasters was biased which cbs usually is towards duke no matter who they play the b.c.'s always lean towards the other team except when duke played arkansas-pine bluff was the only time but if its carolina ole boy they are heaven sent they rode them bums so hard when feminine "T" was there and he was the biggest clumsiest bum to ever don the uniform but he got calls b/c any time anybody played him they was fouling the bum come on hell lets be honest unc basketball was giving a championship the last one they earned was against illinois that was a real game but the last one no sir. unc has a huge fan base most of them were wearing butler t-shirts last night it just kills them to see us do good hell even when we are bad we are better than unc when they are good we beat them last year and almost swept them and we was aweful they didnt stand a chance against us this year in any of our game i mean they got beat by coastal charleston or who ever they were???? they are a disgrace to the uniform.we took a group of white boys nolan smith and lance thomas and won.lance thomas lol !!!! come on give us our dues we went in to butlers home court basically and played thru the odds of the players coaching crowd and the indiana referees.

Two first class programs. Two first class coaches. Anyone who doesn't see that should jump off a bridge. Couldn't ask for more out of a basketball game. Fun to watch.
i watched the game heard the announcers hell even jonathan stewart brought up the fact that the headlines in the newspaper were upset that duke won and yes i watched the game very closely and seen how the no calls that you say favored duke were actually very beneficial towards butler considering zoubek got 4 fouls in 90 seconds come on the butler players were all over scheyer and singler no calls is right.everytime we got near hayward it was a foul call lets go look at the calls and see who got the calls shall we? coach k got out coached by who the refs? it surely wasnt dennis the menace on the butler bench he was calling t.o.'s every time we started to go on a run he didn't know what to do? theres not a coach still coaching that can out coach,coach k. definitely anything out of ky. ha-ha the wildcats is the only thing ya'll have louisville is garbage and the only player the wildcats has is j.wall and he's tired of carrying the whole team.

It was a great game to watch and of course being from Indiana I was rooting for butler to win. They had an outstanding season and a loss in the last game is nothing for them to hang their heads about. Even coach K said that was about the fiercest game his team has ever been in. Butler had a couple chances to win it and the shots just didn't fall.
i can't stand duke (and I don't even care much for basketball) so of course I was rooting for butler... as an Alabama football fan I would have rooted for Tennessee, Florida, or even Auburn if they were playing against Duke....
Ahhhh... another Duke hater. LOL So honestly, tell me, what is it or what do you think it is that makes you such a Diehard Duke Hater? I really wonder about this. I'm serious, they're good kids, attend a great school, have a great coach who's a patriot, they attend classes and thrive, most graduate, they're not usually superstars... just over achievers, they don't get in and haven't been in trouble with the law, a greater percentage of the student body is on some type of monetary subsidy program. My son went there on a full ride Air Force ROTC scholarship because he studied hard through out his schooling. In return for the scholarship he gave Uncle Sam 4 years and then went to work for BIll Gates. I am in no way rich and neither was he. Most are not rich kids or snobs, they're smart kids who try hard. So tell me..... what is it you see in them to hate so much?
Alot of truth in that Jeff. However, UCLA doesn't get the hate (on a national level, anyway) that gets thrown Duke's way. I don't hate Duke, but I'm not a fan either. Vitale's non stop stroking of Duke does get old, though.
If UCLA was still winning like they used to.......you'd see more hate. Most folks watching college basketball today have NO IDEA of what UCLA was (truthfully).
seriously?? has nothing to do with the kids or coach k (personally I have a great deal of respect for coach k, by all accounts he's a genuine man and respectable guy), has everything to do with the obnoxiousness of the fans... a friend of mine's mom, who i absolutely adore, is a duke fan and she is the most obnoxious fan I know especially when her guys beat anyone... of course she is not the only duke fan I know, just an example that is close to my family... I happen to feel the same way about Notre Dame football... they haven't been particularly successful in my lifetime but their fans around here border on obnoxious to complete and utter whackos...
