Tressel.........Isn't he THE head dirtbag at THE Ohio State University??? Rhetorical Question, no reply necessary.
Least he didn't poison his own players bodies from over exhaustion, and then not come back to Iowa to check on his hospitalized players because he was to busy on recruiting trips. Easy casting stones there fella.
Wow... really?? LOL Well... regardless of whether Tressel or the obvious replacement is coaching next season, I expect (as Scott already said) that the poundings will continue, without interuption
Man, you'll ride so tight on Tressel's Sack that you'll take a low blow shot at Woody??? WOW, that's tough!!! I know he's your "Homer" and all, and from that area you're from, but let's be serious, part of the reason Tressel has has such a GOOD record against U-of-M is because they've not been very good the last several years. Kirk's ABSOLUTELY correct, if Cooper was accused of the same stuff Tressel was, he'd have been GONE faster than you could say the word. Cooper wasn't that bad a coach, just didn't win a few of the BIG games, but season after season, he put up some pretty good wins for OSU, 111-43-4 ain't really that bad a record.... But in the end, as with all coaching careers, Cooper's had to end, and it ended after a dismal 6-6 season in which there was a lot of rebuilding to be done.... But make no mistake, Tressel won that National Championship with COOPER's RECRUITS, not his own!!! Whether I like Tressel or not, and I don't completely dislike him, if him staying is going to cause damage to the ENTIRE Ohio State Athletics Program, and in effect have a negative effect on the University in and of itself, then he needs to go....
Easy there Scott, there was not LINK in any of the players to indicate WHY they ended up with the Rhabdo, except and extremely hard workout, and Ferentz was out of town when it happened. A whole different situation than him knowing one of his players was selling drugs (which on of his players got in trouble for) and he knew it but failed to take any action because he was afraid it would cost his team some games..... I guess at least the stuff TP and DH and DP were selling wasn't "illegal!!!" But still, you're talking about a calculated act of dishonesty vs. an issue that the coach has no control over.
I will not be happy if Meyer doesn't come out of retirement to coach the Convict Bowl. Dantonio has already signed on. I put a lot of effort in this for it not to happen.
Man, you'll ride so tight on Tressel's Sack that you'll take a low blow shot at Woody??? WOW, that's tough!!! I didn't low blow Woody, what did I say that wasn't true? I would say punching a student athlete would indicate a character issue. I know he's your "Homer" and all, and from that area you're from, but let's be serious, part of the reason Tressel has has such a GOOD record against U-of-M is because they've not been very good the last several years. UofM was good and ranked every year but the Rich Rod era... Remember the 42-39 game? #1 vs #2? Kirk's ABSOLUTELY correct, if Cooper was accused of the same stuff Tressel was, he'd have been GONE faster than you could say the word. Cooper wasn't that bad a coach, just didn't win a few of the BIG games, but season after season, he put up some pretty good wins for OSU, 111-43-4 ain't really that bad a record.... Didn't win a few of the big games??? A few? How about not qualifying for 2 bowls and a 3-8 record in bowl games? 2-10-1 vs Michigan.... And you and Herbie wonder why he would have been run out of town. But in the end, as with all coaching careers, Cooper's had to end, and it ended after a dismal 6-6 season in which there was a lot of rebuilding to be done.... But make no mistake, Tressel won that National Championship with COOPER's RECRUITS, not his own!!! Cooper was 8-4 in has last year not 6-6.... So you are saying that Tress did what Cooper couldn't do? Win a NC with Coopers players. Not only that that team was not near as talented as many of Coopers teams were. Cooper could recruit very well and win most every meaningless game. Put him on the big stage and he failed. Whether I like Tressel or not, and I don't completely disl-ike him, if him staying is going to cause damage to the ENTIRE Ohio State Athletics Program, and in effect have a negative effect on the University in and of itself, then he needs to go....
Fact is he didn't go back to Iowa for 4 days after these kids got sick to see them and talk with their parents. He should have went home immediately.
