I was on YouTube and I saw a video on a " sling bow" it's essentially a sling shot modified to shoot arrows. I mad my own version. So here it is. I added a whisker biscuit and a stabilizer. I put some really heavy bands on and I chronoed it at 120 fps. I can hit a 15 inch circle at 30 yards. I think it's pretty good for a slingshot. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated. I love building em and shooting them. they are a blast and they have a lot more power than you would think. Im working on a new design that will shoot an 430gr Axis arrow at 200fps with 50lb draw.

Yeah i have some pretty heavy black tubes. The ones i use on the slingbow in the picture pull around 45lbs at 30". i have some heavier ones that will go upwards of 65lbs but i dont use them. I ordered the steel from an industrial supplier and designed and built it myself. Bent the steel by hand and welded it. The most time consuming part is the tuning. I use levels and rulers and micrometers to make sure both sides are symettrical so that it pulls and shoots a bowfishing arrow straight. In combination with my TI20 reel it shoots super straight. The new one i am building to top 200fps is a completely new and unique design. Uses a different kind of band and its designed to shoot carbon hunting arrows. It will have some cool features and be real small and stealthy. I hope to take a coyote with it. IL DNR does not consider it a bow and arrow legal for small game or big game yet. As far as i know coyote and fish are the only legal game because the regulations specify a "bow and arrow or archery device". Once i finish it and put some arrows through it i will post some pics and results

It is, for wading they rock! Since mine is stainless steel i throw it around and let it sit underwater while i take fish off the arrow, no big deal! no string, cables, and other parts to be damaged by water. Just a fun, light, compact weapon to carry around and sling arrows with
