You also can't have a shop tune your bow for you either. LOL Another dumb a$$ comment.

They might be able to get it close but how you hold the bow and shoot the bow can and will change how it shoots. So YOU are the one that should be tuning your bow with the aid of your shop. They can't tune it and hand it off to you and all is expected to be well.

You know Brad you are really not worth my time to explain, I do not have a bow press nor the tools or experience, and I don't want to I have other things to do than work on my bow. Why don't you just watch your own bobber on this one.

I did that years ago and even though not as accurate out past 25 yards, I feel a lot better without one.

Each of us has our own way of doing things....the hell with it.

I have to say, this situation is what pushed me to start tuning my own bow. I spent a lot of money on my set up so I could have quality performance. To me, it doesn't make sense to use bandaid fixes for things like twisted peeps. My shop's answer was always the bandaid approach, no matter the issue. Peep won't come around? Ah, just move your D-loop 90 degrees. Broad heads won't hit with your field points? My man, just move your sight to match the broad heads. Your bow doesn't like the broad heads we sold you? Here, try another kind for one easy payment of $39.99. To me this wasn't were appropriate, especially after I spent well over a grand for my whole set up. I tried 3 shops and they all had the same mentality. They were all too busy and they all wanted to give me shortcut fixes because they had too many bows to work on and they couldn't be bothered by someone who's broad heads hit 3/4" to the right, or whose peep was a little twisted. One guy wouldn't even cut my arrows. He just gave me 31" shafts and said the spine matches, the length doesn't matter.

Now build my own arrows, I completely tune my own bow, I change my own strings. Sure it is time consuming, but what else do I have going on from February through September. It is a labor of love, it keeps me connected to hunting, and it guarantees I get the solutions and performance that I paid for when I bought the bow. The press cost me another $300, but after 2 seasons of use I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Having a good shop guy makes a huge difference. I just read through the posts after I commented and I see what you're getting at now. You shouldn't need to re-tune at all. MAYBE adjust the sight a hair, but I doubt it. I second your decision to get it fixed.

Dropped the bow off this morning, the owner appreciated it when I said no hurry I want the deluxe tune. He did say he was looking forward to shooting the destroyer with barnsdale limbs.

My peep always did that when I had a 3 string split peep after I put new strings on. About 100-200 shots it would twist after the new ones then I would have to press it and put one twist in the string. Didn't mess my bow tune up one bit.
Last time I put new stings on I switched to a 2 string split peep and it solved the problem.

I tell ya what it is nice having a dependable shop around. I had one open up a few miles from my house last year and their bow tech is one of the best I have come across. If you have the time, money, and a good bow shop why not just let them handle it. Obviously some guys on here prefer the DIY method and I respect that but for me I would rather just have a professional handle it.

Hahaha You're retarded. You hunt northern Wisconsin due to your mad hunting skills. Rather than the sanctuary you hunt now. LOL You lost all creditably as a bowhunter. It would not be a punishment to get banned for me.

You are CS and blame the area you hunt for your limited success.

Since you're turning over a new leaf this year by letting others hunt your sanctuary, you should extend Brad an invitation. ;)
