I had some super deer on trail cam this year, as the crops changed the deer vanished and even trailcam pics became hard to get and i passed on a few deer i would never pass on if the ''freak'' did not haunt my every hunt. well the night before gun season i shot the smallest deer on my to do list, This deer was standing over a doe in a bushpile so i put a stalk on him and shot him @ 20 yards and never even knew i was there. yes even a blind squirrel has his day.

    bow is a d350 70lb 2 blade rage head on a flatline 340 arrow

Thanks for all that posted,My wife has made the comment that i would not shoot a deer until the day before gun season and she knows me too well. I have a lot of pics of this deer from two seasons and i almost got him 3 seasons ago also on the ground but he caught me moving trying to get a better shot around a small bush.

The problem with deer cams is you always are looking for the ONE deer you hope will come back and then you pass up a lot of deer waiting for that one chance. Since i am the kind of guy that would hunt until the last min of the season anyway it kinda worked out.

Well i stopped at my friends archery shop to show them the rack and they decided to put a tape on him while we shot some new bows and the deer has some decent numbers 14 points and scored 145 and change.

That is a buck I'd definitely shoot! Can you get a few more pics of the buck a little closer?! When you posted that it scored 145 my jaw dropped...I had it pegged significantly lower....here's a pic of a buck I shot that was shy of 140 gross

Not saying your buck isn't bigger...I just don't think that picture does it justice if it's 145.

sorry the pic in the field was from my friends phone so i took a couple a min ago for ya. This was shot the day before are mo gun season if not for the season getting a lot tougher around here after gun season i would have passed him up... I had some real bruisers here on trail cam this year.So this deer was way down on my hit list but i have to draw the line before gun season.

He has really good mass just high and tight. here is some numbers he gave me

    Lft side Rt side
    62.1 63.1

    14 inside
6 abs points for a total of 145.2

Completely see it now...the mass was better than I thought as well as the tine length was better than I originally thought. That's awesome that this caliber of buck was low on your list. :D
