But Rodgers did get the money FINALLY off his back (though it was his 3rd career game winning drive, in just 17 games) with his pass to Greg Jennings....

His stat line is in my sig..

We play the Bengals next week

I was so pissed when they won.

I was all ready to come on here and mock your "Rodgers will be the MVP" crap, but alas, the Bears suck.

If GB's offensive line keeps getting whipped like that it definitely will not be an MVP year for Rogers. MN’s defensive line is better than the Bear’s. Should be a good game in 3 weeks though...both teams could be 3-0 going into it.

That they do...nobody for Cutler to throw it too

Our secondary was having their way with him...if it wasn't for damned cramps, they wouldn't even have scored a touchdown

They key to our success in the 3-4 this year isn't going to be the Dline after all..its going to be this man:

If he can make plays like the elite CB he is, then we are going to put up a serious amount if wins this year. He didn't play so well against the bears..but that could be a rust issue considering he never saw the field much in pre-season.

also..take away 4 uncharacteristic drops by Driver/Nelson and we have 35+ points in this game

Im pretty sure both teams will be 3-0,

And the main problem on the Dline was Barbre...ho played a little bit better in the 2nd half...

He could rain on my parade a little

Also..Atari Bigby is going to be out for a few weeks (whats new:mad:)...which means more Aaron Rouse. I sure wish we had Anthony Smith right now

neither the bears or the packers really got into sync... wasn't exactly a stellar game for either team... the pack just didn't suck as bad as the bears did, that's all that happened... still glad they won, but I sure wouldn't be lookin to this game as an indication of positive things to come... more like they got a lotta work to do...

    AP..good possiblity
    Brees, same

Those two plus Brady are the week 1 favorites....still alot of football to be played though. Alot of injures to be had.

The only good thing about Rogers is he can take a hit. I promise you that hit from Urlacher was the hardest hit he ever took in his life. I really figured his fragile little body would've shattered.

I would put Tony Romo higher up there than Brady after week 1. Romo led the league in passer rating with a rating of 140.6 Brady's rating was 97.8

All good, but he barely got a win from an inferior team (who should/would have won that game if it wasn't for a stupid play on the Bills part) and made some mistakes, the pick 6 was bad and Brady looked worried in the pocket and wasn't settling down. Good performance, but not great. The yards are cool but when you lead the league in yards with only 2 TD's, that leaves alot of room for improvement.

Most of what happened was due to Rogers saying hut, and then getting hit. He had no time and if they fix that, he will be OK. He has been gone for 53 weeks and he comes back and throws for ALOT of yards and "only" 2 td's and the haters show up.

michaelp do you mean Brady instead of Rodgers?

My problem is that people are talking about Brady's performance as something magical... it wasn't. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad... but he didn't perform like the Brady of 2007 and nobody truly knows if he will again or not. My problem is hearing people already put him at the top of the QB board when he was out-performed by others like Drew Brees and Tony Romo. Who cares what Brady did in the past.... this is the 2009 season and none of that matters now. Brady (just like Peyton was) is the "poster boy" of the league and "can do no wrong".... even when he isn't the top performer of the week the media turns him into one.

Maybe after week two is over things will be different, but there is only one week of stats that means anything right now, and right now Brady isn't the best looking QB... that is shared between Romo and Brees.

BM, I actually don't know what in the heck I was thinking. I think I had 2 posts going at once on this and the other thread. I think I meant Brady did well for missing 53 weeks, and Aaron Rodgers did not even have a chance to get to his second read before he was getting hit. Good talk, I am just happy that we have no drama in Atlanta for the first time in a long long time. Feels good to just watch em play.
