Damn sure one of his off spring. I am pretty sure this deer is only 1.5 Right at the curve in each antler Mr. Mass is just huge, exactly like this guy to the tee!! Front on picture
Mr Mass Jr! Hopefully Senior hasn't taught him too many of his old tricks on evading you. Seriously though that buck looks like a stud for his age.
They are the same deer, take a look at the times in the pictures. BTW that buck has some great potential, just look at those bases. Hopefully you can get a pic of him w/o velvet just to get a real good comparison.
I think it is a 1.5 yr old. That would be a very small body for a 2.5 yr old mid-west buck. Look at the times the pictures were taken...same buck.
Here's a picture of a couple of 1.5 year olds also. I have in my notes of seeing a Monster BB last year. He was a full foot taller than his sister and had big floppy ears.
That is awsome Gary... he will be a friggin STUD in a few years! Hopefully daddy will show up so everybody can finally see this legend!!!
Here is a pic of a 2.5 yr old (IMO) I just got recently. The difference in body size between 1.5 yr and 2.5 yr old bucks is pretty noticeable. I don't think Germ's buck looks older than 1.5 yrs old in any of the pics?
I passed one last year that I thought was 2.5 and scored 120ish, and then I shot a 2.5 yr old 3 weeks later 20 '' smaller All I am looking at is his shoulders and body. IMO his shoulder are not wide enough, but his face has the look of an older deer.
I am saying I don't know, but I need the differenet points of view. Corn, Beans, Winter Wheat(now picked) and 75 acers of Alphalfa(Sp?). Let's just say they don't go hungry,
Let's hope I see him, up close encouter will show me for sure. I find it strange he's not with any other bucks.
In most of my Wi spots, Mr. Mass Jr. would be a 2 1/2. His head and nose don't look as small and pointy as the 1 1/2s that I see. Some southern Wi and northern Ill spots that I have, he'd be a 1 1/2. It can vary from spot to spot.
