Thanks, mine is 24 x 38. I got a deal on the logs so I went with it. Post pictures of yours when you get it done. The elk is my dads it's a 9x8 score about 360. His wife said noway in her house so the cabin was the perfect choice. My wife doesn't have that much power over me my elk is at my house in a back room but still at my house.
I love to see racks laying around, on tables and such. They just say pick me up, then you have to ask the stories behind them. I have dozens of sheds sitting around, it drives my wife nuts but every buck we shoot we look through the sheds for clues of past exposures.
Thanks. I shot him with a bow in Wyoming on Labor Day weekend 2011. I spotted him at first light out on the prairie chasing does and he finally came to water in the middle of the afternoon. The rancher said he was the second biggest that had ever been killed on his place. I had passed up some really nice ones all day long but knew from the time I saw him that I was going to spend the entire trip waiting for a chance at him. Lucky for me he gave me a 38 yard shot on the first day. I think he is likely the most beautiful mount I have.
Fletch, I know said this on our team thread during the whitetail contest, but seriously dude...you are my hero! That's an incredible trophy room. Congratulations!
Here are some pics from a few years ago I had in photobucket. Most of the smaller critters I did myself.
