Those rubs are awesome! Can you guys think of any other uses for a tree that is rubbed like that? The potential is there for some kind of man decoration.
I was wondering the same! I cant do that at my house (renting) but would like to do something now that I seen that...and when I build my dream house Im poaching that idea for sure!
You could do a lot. Im thinking table legs, coat rack with different rubs as the hooks and a big one for the main beam. You could also use some for something like a mount with some antlers might be cool too.

Woodman, that cabin is perfect. I really love it. I have just the shell (30x50) up for one and planned on having it done by now. But, I had an opportunity fall in my lap to buy another farm and did. So, now I have to decide where I want the cabin. I may just use the original building for equipment storage and build on the newer farm that has better access...?? My plans are incredibly similar to what you did. Love it! That elk is great.
