    Still shoot X7's. Great arrow!

My only problem is finding the correct glue. Tough to find glue that will hold feathers to aluminum. Local archery shop has nothing.

This one of them deals when the 3 S's come to mind. Shoot, shovel, silence.

I think a majority of hunters would have done the same thing.

Problem is these types of threads/conversations can lead to bad outcomes. I don't think I would post it publicly IMO.

Would have probably said I found a buck that died recently, and he had already lost his antlers. Bad shot during archery likely killed him. Why would his antlers fall off this early?

    You did the right thing.

I assumed you had shot him with a gun to end the misery. I’d do the same.

Not sure why people were talking about reissuing tags? Perhaps they didn’t read your post or understand it.

I applaud your decision. some times hunters know whats best in the situation. CO might have turned it into a circus. just take care of the situation and move on. you did the right thing!

I saw a doe crawling across the road about 10 years ago. No one stopped to help put her out of her misery. This went on for minutes as she struggled and suffered with a broken back. I pulled my truck over, pulled out my bow as it was hunting season, and shot her on the side of the road. Everyone started honking at me for holding up traffic and for shooting that doe I guess. I don't care. I told my young daughter what I had done bc she was in the backseat. I'd rather get in trouble than let an animal suffer like that...not gonna happen.

I had to cut a bucks throat with a knife once after being hit by a car. it was all I had. I'm sure we've all done it. the COs probably glad he doesn't have to bother with it.
