ruttnutt had a one of them lighted nocks split on a great buck at 15 yards this season, the arrow got no penetration and actually fell out of the deer after a short ways and the deer was not recoverd. He spent the morning going over where he thought it might have gone, and even though he did not find his, he did find 2 other old ones!
Thats a pretty good buck! Thats too bad about the nock though, what brand was it? I have been thinking about getting some, but definitely dont want that to happen
Before we jump on manufacturer error so many questions arise. Was the nock shot before, group shot, damaged in shooting or was it brand new, never used. Was it manufacturer error or pilot error. I can't imagine a nock, any nock splitting on it's first voyage. ;-) PS, that's a hell of a buck... wonder what it's demise was.
I'll find out guys, I do know all 3 nocks were cracked when they checked them! I had the same thing happen when beman had the nocks that sliped over the end of the shaft. It was a fresh nock that had never been shot, I put it on that Day because the other one was cracked. Cost me a 150+ 10 point! They got a letter!!!!
Just curious, was it lumenok or easton or another less known company... Just ordered a 3 pack of lumenoks. Guess I'm going to have to give a very close inspection when I get them....
Great find, either he died from something in nature, or someone was very heartbroken when they did not recover that stud.
