Just thought I would share a couple pics I took this past Monday. I went duck hunting. Saw quite a few, but it came to be known that there was a corn field that we were competing with. I started the day with three geese coming in perfectly, I lit one up, and dropped him, but he got up after a minute or so, and walked away! Lil' ba$terd got away too! Its too hard to follow a mobile goose, through 3' of water, with 1" of ice on it... Then this Merganser came in just at sunset, and I dropped him with one shot, while unloading the gun... of course they would come in just as I was doing that... Ohh well, turns out my wife really likes it when I go out duck hunting... lol. Guess thats a good thing. Morning shots Evening shots By Hoodie...(which was actually kind of large for it's kind. Very pretty duck! I'd like to tag along on a duck-hunting trip JUST to take pics; it's always been my reasoning that if duck season is in, I could be bow hunting instead. But... the pics I want I probably need to wait until I get about a $1,500 lens for my body before I attempt it...
Not so, not here anyhow... Deer is done. Turkey is next. I might go find some small game this weekend... (Saturday) I ran into some shells that someone gave me. That I don't really care for... (Rem. Sportsman's???) Need/Want to use them up. They jammed in my gun. No reason for that... lol. Plus, now I want to see what I CAN get my wife to eat. I just wont tell her until she tries it. XDDD
