Our cabin in Northern Wisconsin has 15" of snow on the ground after a massive snowstorm that hit Sunday-Tuesday.

The most snow we've had on the ground during gun season was 3 inches. This year should be an interesting gun season. Next week's temperatures are a high of 20 and low of 3. Looks like it's going to be another BRUTALLLLL winter on the deer herd :(

I hear we have 8-10" at our cabin. This is going to be an interesting gun season for sure. There are going to be a lot of people not able to walk to their normal locations way back in the bush farther up north. The deer patterns will probably be different. They may move much less with the deep snow. They may be in their over winter thermal bedding areas.

I have no idea what to expect. Because this is the most snow I've seen during the normal gun season.

16" at our cabin. Getting in might be interesting. Been awhile since we've had that kind of snow for rifle season.

Might be bringing the skidoos instead of the 4wheeler this year.

Good. Maybe it will push all the deer about 100 miles south!

Once snow hits, the bucks disappear in our area where there's no crops. I'm pretty bummed out.

WILL BE BAITING WITH THE SNOWMOBILE FOR SURE!

I'm in NE ohio and we just got our first snow fall of the year here, no where as much as you guys but enough to make the grass go from green to white and to leave a foot print in. Should be a great week for hunting good luck everyone

The deep snow can help, they tend to follow well worn paths instead of randomly wandering. Bedding cover and food is where you want to be.
