I haven't been In the woods till this morning since Friday, what's going on out there? We have the gun season going on right now so I don't want to snoop around much and chase deer out of our woods to the neighbors. Bucks still checking scrapes? Any chasing going on?

Chasing hard Schultzy. My brother is on his way up and has seen two bucks (9 &10pt) Mid day cruisin'. Does are starting to pop, too. Get out there for any time you can, rifle hunters or not.

been out the past 4 days ... weekend all day and evenings mon/tues .. Rattled in 3 bucks in 3 tries on consecutative nights, but all young bucks. I did a bunch of hiking around some areas of interest that I havent hunted in the past much just to check for activity and I am starting to see scrapes being laid down. I checked some traditional scraping areas and bucks are just starting to open up scrapes. This weekend should be really good out here for movement. Cool temps, possible snow and the rut is fast approaching .. it wont be to long before a doe pops into estrus

All that means that you need to be in your stand WHEN the wind dies down. :)

The warmer temps (50's at night) broke last night! I woke up sneezing my rear off!!!! If anyone finds it I'd kinda like it back. Went out this AM to deliver 2 cords of wood and the bucks were still running at 11:00 AM. Evening temps in the 30's again so this is the time to get in stand and wait. As soon as I quit sneezing long enough to see straight, I'm back at it!!!!! Good luck Steve!!!

It was crazy here in mid-Michigan 4 days ago, very warm, windy and the bucks were going insane, then totally quiet since. I think the unseasonably warm temps finally slowed them down. It was 31 and foggy this morning when I shot a 9 point, but he wasn't chasing does at the time.

    Thanks for the replys everyone!!

Saw 2 bucks (1.5 and 2.5 year old) chasing doe's this evening right before dark. There also was a 3rd buck but never got to see him, just heard him. To dang warm out yet up here, 50 to 60 degree's out during the day. Trail camera's haven't been showing much either the last 7 to 9 days since It warmed up. My pics actually have went way down.
