That is smack dab in the middle of the DFW metroplex. Does is hunting even allowed in the county?

It's 2 counties north of Dallas County. Yes, you can hunt there.

I have hunted outside of Nacona but not in Grayson County. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I went to HS in McKinney Chad, I'll send you some info. There are some ridiculously big deer there. My dad still lives in McKinney, I'll get you hooked up. He is JGD on the forum.

Hey Chad, sent you an email. Grayson County has some giant deer but no public hunting except a special draw on the Hagerman Wildlife area. Talk to you later.

Texas, at least around DFW, seems tough to find places to hunt unless you own or lease. I have a couple public lands I want to check out if my back heals, and some members here gave me some tips too about places. But I think I am going to save up to buy land in the next 2-3 years instead of spending money on a lease. Well that's the plan, I may end up leasing so I have a place to hunt. I think I will go through withdrawals if I have to skip a few seasons LOL.
