Well my quest has begun. I really have no idea where to look for some advice regarding this quest of mine. I spent some time on the super slam dot org forums. My biggest issue is there is very little talk regarding the Super 10 specifically and much of their post are 2010 or later. I'm currently awaiting a flight out of winnipeg after harvesting my black bear about 4 hours north of here. My Whitetail was taken last year back home. My questions are vast and detailed but I really have no idea where to look for answers. Sure I can search the internet for hunt prices, but even that seems to turn up nothing more then more questions. I've seen moose hunts from 5k to 25k.

So what I'm looking for is any info you guys may have. My main issues are as follows:

    1. Which 10 from the list are the most economical? I'm honestly not looking for self guided trips, I'd prefer to at least have someone who knows the animals and land to create a better chance at harvesting an animal.

    2. I'm honestly not concerned with trophy animals. I don't need 10 animals that make Pope and Young, an average size animal is still going to be a trophy to me.

    3. Everything is to be taken with a bow. I mean heck I am on the bowhunting forums LOL.

    4. If anyone has specific places they have been or guides they would recommend please post it here I will gladly take any information as I try to plan my next 8 years.

I hope there are enough people here to make this a good informative thread. I fully plan to keep updating information I've found or people I've hunted with. Having some good information I think is paramount to this actually being a successful goal.

One great example of this is my bear hunt. My guide is a small outfitter with no website, and had it not been for a random meeting at an extravaganza I would have never wound up here. My hunt was with John Neapew about an hour north of Dauphin Manitoba. A very small outfit with one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. More importantly he hunts reservation land where he is the only guide and outfit for 10s of thousands of acres. I spent 3 hrs before I arrowed what is going to be a gorgeous full body mount.

I'd think finding a single outfitter with the resources to connect you may be the best route to follow.
