Any members here to this club. It sounds like a great club. I was wondering about the stuff they send members to try out and keep. What kind of stuff do they send people?

    Any insight would be appreciated.

Be prepared to buy anything they send to you, it's a ripoff.

Button first off they dont do that anymore thank gawd.
I just got in the mail 2 tom turkey decoys and 2 female decoys along with
a backpack to use this spring tp test out. Ive recieved some pretty good stuff as a
tester to more then makeup for what i spent on a life membership back in 97.
The club is not perfect but it works for me.

On a sidenote I just got a damn dvd in the mail from the NRA and if i want it
buy it or send it back. grrr

I think they are past the spamming you with products and offers phase, but either way I didn't renew my subscription to find out. I did land a cushion to field test that costs 60 bones at Gander to buy outright, hands down the best piece of padding i've ever parked my rear on in the woods. I'd just as soon forget my calls hitting the turkey woods than my thermacell and cushion. :D

I have been a life member for close to 15 years now. They did quit sending junk all the time. I have not signed up to be a field tester and probably should. I have just been afraid it might start the junk mailings again. In my opinion, the magazine has really gone downhill in quality and content over the years. Best advice would be to try it for a year or so to see if its right for you. They used to give you credit for past years if you wanted to apply it towards a lifetime membership.

I made the mistake of doing the Life Membership thing with them. Them SOB's sent me so much junk and I always threw It away. 2 months down the road I get a bill saying either pay or send It back. Send what back I would say? After figuring a few things out what I threw away Is what they were referring too. I've asked them to discontinue my membership but they said no, I'm a life member. Whether or not they've quit this BS or not, I can't stand the pricks!! They've gotten a good share of money out of me that I had to give them being I tossed the junk In the garbage.

I'll never have anything good to say about this club.

Can I suggest Safaris Club International instead? I did the NAHC thing for awhile. I ended up realizing they did nothing for me with regard to hunting and my interests thereof. NAHC is good at taking your money though. They give you trinkets in exchange-sort of like giving glass beads for gold.

I am a life member and I have gotten a few products here and there to test that were okay, but nothing spectacular. My favorite is a fake set of bushes with a gun rest built in that you stick in front of you for turkey hunting. I'm not especially satisfied so I wouldn't recommend you join.

By far the best organization fighting for our rights as hunters.

Here's my NAHC nightmare. They sent me a set of books in the mail, nice but I did not order them. Then they sent me threating lettters if I don'y pay for them or send them back they will have to take action. I got a phone call from from them about a month into it and I read them the law that states if a company sends you something that you didn't order and then trys to bill you for it it is against the law and the person is not obligated to sent the stuff back. That was the last I've heard from them, they still send me the magazine when they are supposed to but all the crap stopped.

Wow, I am glad this thread came up. I was seriously considering joining the club and sending the acceptence form in to get my "free" stuff. The letter seemed pretty straight forward, but i guess the saying is true nothing is "free"

To be honest I feel suckered. I became a life member about ten years ago. and I get nothing in return since. They did send me a plaque that denotes a life meber but that is all. As a matter of fact this is how much i mean to them. They sent me mail to become a new member.....I was like WTF....i guess i mean alot to them. Heck I even sent pics in etc. and never made it in the magazine. Now I made it into bow hunter magazine a few years back so what gives there.

I feel our membership dollars go towards all the hunts you see them on on TV. I never got to test any product or anything. So in my opinion i got scammed.

PS. I bet I have about 100 bucks in shipping cost sending back videos i never ordered but I could preview at my conveinece but had to pay myself to send them back.
hell i started keeping some and paying for them just to save the hassle figured i might as well get something out of it. BTW have bunch of NAHC videos for sale cheap.

Thanks for the advise guys, I'm glad to be able to ask a group of guys like you for advise on these things. Sounds like it saved me a possible headache.
