Hi folks, Noob here, just finished my Archery course for NY two days ago so yes, I'm really a NOOB. I'm an Elementary Orchestra Director in Clarence, Professional Violinist, Married with two children. I only recently started hunting with a gun and have gotten a couple deer thus far. Last December a "Bear Element" with case, arrows and all the fixin's fell into my lap for $250 and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to start archery. After a professional adjustment by Scott at Johnson's in Lockport, NY, some new arrows, and other related gear, I am lovin' life!!! Who knew archery was so much fun? I am 35 and the first in my family to own a firearm and/ or hunt. Got my bowhunting stamps today. See you around the forum, I look forward to learning about this incredible sport and hopefully putting some venison in the freezer in a month or so. Jim
Hey Jim, Welcome to the obsession that is BH.com! ... I live just south of you in East Aurora ... the Scott you talked to at Johnson's isn't Scotty from the Johnson's that was in Hamburg, was it?
Very Likely is. Scott Bear? I think is his name. Has a step son Sean Sears that I taught at school. Anyhow he is the archery guy in Lockport's Johnsons. Ever go to the Roy Croft for Sunday Brunch? I play string quartets their occasionally... JIm
