My husband is going on an antelope hunt the end of August. He took hunter safety years ago and between the multiple moves it was lost. I was able to order a replacement card and it will be here within' 10-14 days and I did print the certificate off the internet. I was just wondering if any of you have had issues with replacement cards. We heard that some states don't accept them - but no idea if that's accurate.

Unfortunately, for him to just take a new class is hard as he works out of town all the time.

Minnesota has a firearms endorsement that is noted on your drivers license, see if your state does too. I refuse to believe that Minnesota would be progressive enough to be the first or only state to do that.

Is the firearms endorsement the same as a Hunter's Safety Certificate? I know in many states it is not.

In Minnesota it is, then again I am over the age and considered grandfathered in.

Any out of state hunt I've done, I've just had to type the number in when buying license online, or even at a store.

I know it worked in Colorado. In MN, hunter safety and firearm safety are the same class.

Great! That's what he's hoping for - he didn't have any problems when we went to IL. He just had to show his PA hunting license.

    Thanks all.

Thanks for answering that question, Sota and Fitz. I just got off the phone with wyoming fish and game with questions about this. He wasn't sure if it was the same. Gonna get me an archery pronghorn!
