I guess it depends where the stream is.

The stuff I love, in Texas, is likely considered "mainstream", but not up here!

I like me some reckless kelly, whiskey myers, bleu edmondson, brantley gilbert, brandon rhyder, cory morrow, casey donahue band, randy rogers band, no justice, stoney larue, mickey and the motorcars, josh abbot band etc etc....

I should have been more specific when I said "music". I should have said "real music", not country.

Check out Needtobreathe! There starting to become Mainstream (touring with taylor swift next year and there not country) but still have that underground sound! There great!
    Kinda rocky bluesy stuff.

Here is one of my non mainstream favs.

Here is one that is becoming a little more mainstream, probably because he is moving away from the blues bar room music to more traditional country tunes, like his dad(Tom T)

I saw him at a local bar 1 night and this song was a straight up blues/rock guitar song.

Here is a little rooster song. Not mainstream unless you are a bluegrass fan.:tu:

I found out about Kevin Moore from my cousins band.(blues rock band)He would play his stuff between sets and I fell in love with his style. When my nephew took an interest in playing the guitar, mostly country family,I decided to introduce him to his blues.I never got the CD back.:lmao:I was fortunate to be able to take my nephew to see him at a local "fine arts center" and the performance was amazing. My nephew was floored.

I was floored to see anybody even know who he was.. really.

Being from the Chicago area I have the treat of listening to the blues.. and Keb Mo every now and again on a little station out here.. as a matter of fact Dan Akroyd used to host the show.. but only gets on once in a while now. I think it was probably him who first introduced me to him a couple years back.

Of course.. now I can just bring him up on my Ipod. (Keb Mo.. not Dan Akroyd).

Cool you got to see him live.. I bet that was a treat.

I haven't heard of any of these guys but I mostly listen to FM or CDs. Do you guys know these bands from listening to Sirius? I might have to subscribe.

It was,he had some group with him that was fantastic but I can't remember who it was.Never seen or heard from them since.

Funny how these non mainstream bands or single artist are well known in music circles because of their talents but when they try to break into mainstream, they aren't nearly as popular.Goes to show the "mainstream" doesn't know nearly as much as those that are in the business.

Funny,I have NEVER heard 1 single song of his on the radio.
