Has anyone else turned a non-hunting structure into a stand or a blind? I decided to take the playhouse thing sitting in our backyard for years, and put it to good use.

This is by no means finished, I plan on turning the top into a box type blind, complete with windows and a tin roof (painted of course). It is on the edge of a huge alfalfa field, so it doubles as a bow stand and a rifle spot for late season. Im pretty excited about hunting out of it during rut with my decoy

Heh, Matt and Rob I'm sure have some stories to share about the "Truck Cap" blind at my place. Looking at the thing, you might think I was an architect or an engineer.

    It's pretty sweet.........:D.

One of my farmers used to have an old grain cart that sat in the middle of a field. I always wanted to turn that into a shotgun blind but never did. I've thought about trying to find another old grain cart like that to put out in the middle of a CRP patch. It would really be for shotgun season because I don't really think I'd be able to bow hunt out of it.

I only use a stand or a ground blind, but a guy on a neighboring property uses an old van that's up on blocks with all the windows busted out.

I've got an old farm house that I can use when the weather is bad...deer trails run less than 10 yrds from a side window that I took out and also the back porch. I can sit in 1 room and watch 2 different ways.

My buddy shot (rifle) a pretty decent 8 pt. from a burned out combine a few years ago. The next week the farmer (not the landowner) pulled it out of the field...bad sport I guess.?? lol
